I’m what I like to call a serial entrepreneur, and throughout my journey, I’ve tried numerous business ideas that have collectively made me millions. Today, I’m going to share over 50 business ideas that I’ve explored, highlighting which three were the most profitable. We’ll cover various ventures, including Amazon FBA, niche sites, flipping items online, faceless YouTube channels, Facebook pages, and more. Importantly, you’ll learn why experimenting with different ideas can lead to significant success.

My entrepreneurial journey began in 2004 when I sold books and clothing on eBay. Initially, I believed buying used items at thrift stores would make me rich; however, that was not the case. I attempted to design and sell water fountains, but my handmade prototype never worked. In 2006, I launched my first blog in the finance sector due to my background in finance. While I made some money through Google AdSense and affiliate sales, it was relatively unsuccessful, generating less than $500 a year.

Between 2005 and 2009, I tried a dozen different ideas with minimal investment—each costing less than $100 to start. Juggling a full-time banking job while raising three small children left me with limited time and resources. My ventures included creating an eBook for people with credit problems and spamming Yahoo Answers to drive traffic to my websites; both failed miserably. Despite feeling like a failure during this period, I was unknowingly developing the habit of quickly pursuing new ideas.

In 2009, I experimented with small niche websites, attempting to rank for specific keywords like “worm farms” and “buffalo nickels.” This venture turned out to be life-changing; while these sites didn’t make me millions, they generated around $100 per month each. This success sparked the idea of creating more niche sites. By 2011, I was earning approximately $20,000 per month from Google AdSense through multiple niche websites.

This marked my first significant success. With some savings in hand, I invested $2,500 into developing a beta version of a keyword research tool called Longtail Pro. The early version had its flaws but started selling well. After recouping my initial investment within two months through the Warrior Forum and my email list, I made a substantial investment of $155,000 to enhance Longtail Pro further. Over five years of hard work led me to net $50,000 per month before selling it for $18 million—my second major win.

Continuing my entrepreneurial journey, I explored various business ideas until finding something that resonated. I started a podcast that now generates enough income for me to hire a host. While many of my Amazon FBA products flopped initially, I eventually found success with several types of pillows and sold that business for $425,000—my third big success.

I’ve also ventured into software businesses that failed but managed to sell two websites for a total of $1 million. My attempts at growing on Pinterest and managing Facebook pages yielded mixed results; however, one Facebook page now earns me $3,500 monthly. Although my first faceless YouTube channel did not succeed as planned, I launched a second one that now garners about 20,000 views monthly through affiliate marketing.

Additionally, I developed a WordPress plugin called Link Whisper for easier internal linking on websites. After spending over six months on its development while pursuing other business ideas, Link Whisper has become a successful venture.

Throughout my journey of trying numerous online business ideas—many of which failed—I’ve learned that quick experimentation is often more effective than prolonged research or waiting for the perfect moment to start. Many people feel they need courses or expert guidance before diving into new ventures; however, most times you can simply watch YouTube videos and take action without spending money on expensive courses.

If you’ve been contemplating starting an online business idea but have been stuck in research mode for too long—take this as your permission to start! Being a serial entrepreneur has been my full-time occupation for 13 years now and has made me millions of dollars. The key takeaway is that quickly trying out various ideas can lead you to discover successful ventures faster than endless research ever could. So why not take action on that business idea you’ve been considering?
